In Ukraine, 18 patients with COVID-19 are connected to the ventilator.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Health, Chief Medical Officer of Health Viktor Lyashko during an online briefing on Sunday, reports a Ukrinform correspondent.

“None of the new hospital patients have been connected to artificial pulmonary ventilation devices in the past 24 hours. In total, we have 18 people on the artificial respiration device,” said Lyashko.

He added that in Ukraine during the last day, 156 cases of coronavirus were confirmed, including 12 in children. Of the 156 people, 55 are hospitalized in healthcare facilities, none of them in serious condition. A total of 624 people were hospitalized, including 30 children.

Lyashko also recalled that the number of coronavirus patients in Ukraine is now 1,251 people. “If we look at the statistics to find out how much the country goes from 100 to 1200 people, as we have today, then we can say the following figures – Italy followed this path in 6 days, Spain – 7 days, the United States – in 8 days, Ukraine – in more than 9 days, “said Lyashko.

According to the Chief Medical Officer of Health, in Ukraine, 25 people have already recovered from COVID-19, 32 have died. During the last day, 2 new patients recovered and 4 died.

According to Ukrinform, at 5:00 a.m. on April 5 in Ukraine, 1,251 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19, of which 32 were fatal, 25 patients recovered.
