In Ukraine, 240 hospitals have been identified that will be the first to receive patients with coronavirus.

This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Health – chief medical officer of health Viktor Lyashko during a briefing on March 30, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.

“The hospitals of the so-called first wave have been identified, there are more than 240, which are designed to receive patients infected with a coronavirus. Other establishments could be added to these hospitals … But we let’s talk about the 240 health facilities that are subordinate to the regional state’s organizational units, and they will be the first to receive coronavirus patients along the patient journey, ”said Lyashko.

He noted that these hospitals are available, their list is on the website of the Ministry of Health. Everyone can independently monitor the number of ventilators, the number of doctors, medical staff and the like.

Lyashko also added that tents for sanitary sorting were deployed in these hospitals yesterday in the event of a massive influx of patients suffering from coronavirus. “We must not leave everyone in the hospital ward where they are sorted. It is in these tents that they will sort, and only those with coronavirus will be allowed to go to hospitals, which will become more isolator late. All other patients will be sorted in tents outside the hospital. “This will prevent nosocomial infection and sort out the lungs and severe patients,” he said. .
