2,777 cases of coronavirus in Ukraine have been confirmed, 83 fatal

As of April 12, 2020, 2,777 cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed in Ukraine.

It is reported by the Public Health Center of Ukraine on Facebook.

“In Ukraine, 2,777 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed. A total of 30,314 samples have been tested in Ukraine by PCR (laboratory diagnosis),” said the report.

As reported, on April 11, 266 messages were received regarding new confirmed cases based on the results of studies by the virological reference laboratory of the Ukrainian Public Health Center and regional laboratory centers.

In general, cases are confirmed:

Vinnytsia region – 174 cases (8 recovered);

Volyn region – 71 cases (2 recovered);

Dnepropetrovsk region – 58 cases (5 recovered);

Donetsk region – 11 cases (1 recovered);

Zhytomyr region – 74 cases;

Transcarpathian region – 82 cases (3 recovered);

Zaporizhzhya region – 83 cases (10 recovered);

Ivano-Frankivsk region – 291 cases (12 recovered);

Kiev – 416 cases;

Kiev region – 159 cases (9 recovered);

Kirovograd region – 118 cases;

Lviv region – 111 cases (6 recovered);

Lugansk region – 3 cases;

Nikolaev region – 2 cases;

Odessa region – 63 cases;

Poltava region – 25 cases;

Rivne region – 119 cases (3 recovered);

Sumy region – 73 cases (2 recovered);

Ternopol region – 243 cases (3 recovered);

Kharkov region – 11 cases;

Kherson region – 31 cases;

Khmelnitsky region – 19 cases (3 recovered);

Cherkassy region – 99 cases (1 recovered);

Chernivtsi region – 432 cases (21 recovered);

Chernihiv region – 9 cases.

1,504 patients are on an outpatient basis. A total of 1,100 people were hospitalized, including 48 children.

As a result of complications from the disease, 83 people died, including 40 men and 43 women. Among the dead, people over 50 years predominate (85.5%).

A total of 89 people have already recovered – a second laboratory test did not reveal any viruses in the body, reports the public health center.
