According to the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the following are tested:
– persons suspected of having COVID-19;
– people in contact with a patient with COVID-19 confirmed;
– patients with pneumonia;
– health workers (every 5 days)
– the patients recovered (for the suppression of the diagnosis).
The Center noted that laboratory tests are the only type of diagnosis that confirms the diagnosis of COVID-19. The results of rapid tests are not recommended for diagnosis.
They also recalled that the first test systems for tests on COVID-19 Ukraine were received on February 24. The public health center purchased a test system for 30 reaction kits from a German manufacturer.
