In Ukraine, as of April 20, 5,710 cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed. During April 19, 261 notifications of new confirmed cases were received.

“A total of 58,093 samples were examined in Ukraine for further coronavirus infection by PCR. During April 19, 261 confirmed case reports were received,” said the report.

In general, cases are confirmed:

  • Vinnytsia region – 330 cases (18 recovered);
  • Volyn region – 158 cases (13 recovered);
  • Dnepropetrovsk region – 118 cases (9 recovered);
  • Donetsk region – 16 cases (6 recovered);
  • Zhytomyr region – 226 cases (1 recovered);
  • Transcarpathian region – 196 cases (16 recovered);
  • Zaporizhzhya region – 134 cases (17 recovered);
  • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 512 cases (27 recovered);
  • M. Kiev – 850 cases (33 recovered);
  • Kiev region – 333 cases (26 recovered);
  • Kirovograd region – 246 cases (17 recovered);
  • Lviv region – 253 cases (22 recovered);
  • Lugansk region – 24 cases (3 recovered);
  • Nikolaev region – 37 cases;
  • Odessa region – 137 cases;
  • Poltava region – 63 cases (10 recovered);
  • Rivne region – 312 cases (21 recovered);
  • Sumy region – 83 cases (10 recovered);
  • Ternopol region – 414 cases (34 recovered);
  • Kharkov region – 73 cases (2 recovered);
  • Kherson region – 63 cases (7 recovered);
  • Khmelnitsky region – 49 cases (5 recovered);
  • Cherkassy region – 165 cases (28 recovered);
  • Chernivtsi region – 906 cases (31 recovered);
  • Chernihiv region – 12 cases (3 recovered).

Outpatient treatment of 3,800 patients, including 283 children. A total of 1,910 people were hospitalized, including 91 children.

As a result of complications from the disease, 151 people died, including 80 men and 71 women. Among the dead, people over 50 (86%) predominate.

A total of 359 people have already recovered, including 17 children – a repeated laboratory study did not reveal the virus in the body.

The increase in disease during the last day is the smallest of the last four days: on April 18, 343 new cases were registered, from April 17 to 44, from April 16 to 50.

At the same time, experts predict that five to ten days after the Easter holidays, an epidemic of new coronavirus infections may occur in Ukraine.
