85 other Ukrainians return to Ukraine from Turkey by ferry
From the Turkish Black Sea port of Karasu to the Ukrainian Black Sea, a ferry went on board of which 85 Ukrainian citizens returned home.
Among them are also four sailors stranded on a ship in the Turkish city of Samsun and whose diplomats were negotiating with the Turkish side to send them back, said the Ukrainian embassy in Turkey.
“85 other Ukrainian citizens are returning home on the next Karasu-Chernomorsk ferry today. With the help of our Ukrainian Embassy and Consulate General in Istanbul, 10 Ukrainians were delivered from Ankara and Samsun to the port of Karasu and 45 from Istanbul, “said the embassy.

The diplomatic institution also reported that on May 8, 2020, 4 Ukrainian sailors trapped on a ship in the Turkish city of Samsun had filed a request with the consular service of the Ukrainian embassy in Ankara. They asked for help to get ashore and return to Ukraine.
“In view of the quarantine measures, as well as the imposition of the next curfew in certain provinces of Turkey, in particular in Samsun, our consuls negotiated with the Turkish side so that their rapid return to the country was possible. important to obtain the appropriate permits not only to go ashore, but also and to move our citizens to the port of Karasu, “said the embassy.
The delivery of the sailors to the port of Karasu from Samsun was carried out accompanied by one of the consuls.
