The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has refused to extend the preventive measure to former MP Maxim Mikitas, who is suspected in the seizure of National Guard property under more than 80 million UAH.

In exchange for about 1 hectare of land in the center of Kiev, the National Guard was to receive 50 apartments and 30 parking spaces in a residential complex.
However, thereafter, in 2016-2017, the parties concluded additional agreements under which the National Guard refused these apartments and parking spaces in Pechersk in exchange for 65 apartments in the house, which the same development company built on the outskirts of Kiev (near the metro station “Krasny Khutor” “).
The cost of these apartments, as established by the examination carried out as part of the preliminary investigation, is 81635448 UAH lower than the price for which the apartments that the National Guard was to receive at the start of the agreements were estimated.
As indicated, on April 3, the WAKS investigating judge partially acceded to the prosecutor’s request and ordered that the ex-president of the Ukrbud company, Maxim Mikityas, be collected from the state deputy for 80 million hryvnia bail for violating its procedural obligations.
At the same time, the judge decided to apply a new preventive measure to the suspect – in the form of a pledge in the amount of 100 million hryvnias with assignment of the corresponding functions.
