The British headquarters offered assistance to Ukraine in suppressing forest fires in the exclusion zone.
This was stated by the Chief of the Defense Staff for British General Nick Carter during a telephone conversation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Ruslan Khomchak, said l AFU staff in a Facebook message.
“Khomchak expressed gratitude to Chief of the Defense Staff Nick Carter for his initiative to assist in the elimination of forest fires in the exclusion zone, which was discussed during the conversation , noting that the army and the armed forces of Ukraine are actively involved in the fight against this disaster “, General Staff.
During the conversation, Khomchak informed about the current politico-military situation in Ukraine and at its borders, in particular in the field of joint forces operations, and expressed its gratitude to the British government for having supported the armed forces of Ukraine in the fight against the aggression of the Russian Federation.
In addition, the parties discussed areas for further military cooperation and the exchange of experiences on NATO standards in capacity development between the armed forces of the two countries with the support of British instructors from the ORBITAL operation. Khomchak thanked the British side for the Ukrainian cadet training program at the Royal Academy of Ground Forces in the city of Sandhurst.
