The Cabinet of Ministers approved the allocation of 141 million UAH for the professional development of doctors.

This was announced at a government meeting on June 19 by Health Minister Maxim Stepanov, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.

“The bill proposes to allocate funds to the Ministry of Health from the fund for the fight against acute respiratory infections COVID-19 to ensure the continuing professional development of doctors for an amount of 141 million UAH. These funds are needed for doctors who are now directly involved in the treatment of COVID-19, who retrain medical staff “- says Stepanov.

According to him, when the stabilization fund was set up, the corresponding budgetary program was reduced.

“We are updating now because these are funds exclusively for the salaries of our doctors,” said Stepanov.

The government also approved the procedure for using internship funds in 2020.

The government also approved a decree that aligned the procedure for establishing hospital districts and the model regulations for the establishment of a hospital council with the fundamental principles of health protection legislation.
