Cabinet allocated over £ 2.7 billion for additional payments to Interior Ministry employees
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated more than £ 2.7 billion for additional payments to employees of the Interior Ministry system during quarantine.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of the Interior.
“The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated funds for the salaries of doctors and interior system employees who serve during the coronavirus,” said the report.
It is noteworthy that last week, the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov asked the Cabinet of Ministers to allocate funds from the special fund COVID-19 so that the Ministry of the Interior is able to make additional payments to doctors from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police, rescuers, border guards and national guards who work in quarantine.

It should be noted that during the introduction of the quarantine, employees of the system of the Ministry of the Interior continue to carry out tasks on the “advanced” epidemic, to ensure public security and order in the places to high risk.
According to the press service, during the quarantine of COVID-19, 542 law enforcement officers and a doctor from the Interior Ministry fell ill.
Recall: previously, the ministry had asked the Cabinet of Ministers 171,081.6 thousand hryvnia for additional payments to the medical staff of the Ministry of the Interior and 2,530,043.7 thousand hryvnia for civil protection units, border guards , the police and the guards.

It is expected that the funds allocated by the government will be used to increase up to 50% of the salary of medical personnel in the system of the Ministry of the Interior, employees of civil protection units, border guards, police and National Guard.
