Cabinet has allocated 2.3 billion hospitals that are close to closure
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted amendments to the Medical Benefits Program, which introduced a new package for infectious, anti-tuberculosis, psychiatric and regional hospitals.
The decision was made at a government meeting on June 19, reports the Ukrinform correspondent.
“The essence of the law is to change the implementation of the medical care guarantee program for the population in 2020. It is supposed to support the introduction of a new package in this program, the so-called support package to our health facilities, to which we propose to add 2 billion 331 million UAH. These are the institutions that remained with a funding gap in 2020 compared to 2019, which were on the verge of closing, because funding was minus 50% in 332 institutions, “said Health Minister Maxim Stepanov at a government meeting, reporting on the issue.
