Cabinet improved the structure of the country’s military reserve
The Cabinet of Ministers has improved the general structure of the military reserve in Ukraine, specifying the division for the purposes of operational, mobilization and public reserves.
Corresponding modifications to the appendix to Decree No. 607 of the Council of Ministers of November 12, 2014 were adopted at a government meeting on June 17, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“The draft resolution provides for improving the structure of the military human resources reserve, in particular to clarify the division for the purposes of operational, mobilization and public reserves, to rationalize the concept of territorial reserve in the general structure of the reserve military human resources in accordance with the requirements of the Ukrainian Law on Military Service and Military Service ”, – indicated in the text of the explanatory note to the draft document.
The draft resolution has been prepared by the Ministry of Defense in order to improve and rationalize the structure of the military human resources reserve, taking into account recent amendments to the laws “On military service and military service” and ” On mobilization, training and mobilization ”.
In particular, the modifications to the government decree clarify the priority of attracting reservists from the first and second stages, and explain the concept of augmentation reserve and territorial reserve.

In addition, the document refers to the mobilization of the human reserve and the public reserve. Thus, it is noted that the public reserve is made up of citizens, including reservists, soldiers who voluntarily participate in national security and in the defense of the State. Reservists and liabilities included in the public reserve are intended to equip the armed forces and other military units in a special period in the prescribed manner, taking into account their membership of operational and mobilization human reserves.
The Defense Ministry has stressed that implementing the resolution does not require funding from state or city budgets.
