The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine took a decision under which it obliged the local authorities to provide the residential premises, which are provided for the use of family-type orphanages, the necessary furniture and appliances.
This was announced by Social Policy Minister Marina Lazebnaya during a briefing following a government meeting on Monday June 1, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“Today, the government is forcing local authorities to provide housing for use in family-type orphanages, with the necessary furniture, appliances and other durable goods. Second, we want local authorities to provide children with a host family and children-pupils who The handicap was established by the necessary devices and services in their place of residence according to their individual needs for the implementation of the individual program “Rehabilitation of a handicapped child”, explained Lazebnaya.
In addition, she said, the government supported amendments to the law to grant the right to live and be raised as family members of orphans and children without parental care, who have a disability. foster care, in family-type orphanages up to the age of 23, regardless of whether they study in vocational education establishments or in higher education establishments.
