If you do not introduce a funded pension system, in Ukraine in 10 to 15 years, there will be huge problems with the payment of pensions.

This statement was made by Denis Shmygal at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on June 17.
“In 10 to 15 years, there will be difficulties with the payment of pensions. Pensions financed by priority. There are plans to introduce 2 and 3 levels of pension reform ”, – stressed the Prime Minister.
The head of government also noted that the minimum wage and the food basket will be reviewed.
According to the Ministry of Social Policy, the average pension in Ukraine is currently 3,400 hryvnia.
As you know, in May, the PFU indexed the pensions of 8.4 million retirees, increasing their size by 11%. The average increase amounted to 260 hryvnia.
In addition, since April 1 this year, 1.5 million pensioners over the age of 80 have received a monthly pension supplement of 500 hryvnias.
In addition, 10.6 million pensioners, whose pensions and payments did not exceed 5,000, received one-off aid worth 1,000 hryvnia.
