Children of quarantine mothers born in Ukraine will be removed from Ukraine – Denisova
Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Migration Service, have agreed to export children from Ukraine born to surrogate mothers during the period of quarantine.
The Ombudsman said this at a press conference on Thursday, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“Today I was at a working meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Migration Service, and we have developed an effective mechanism to resolve this problem. As this problem is of a humanitarian nature, the parents can contact the Verkhovna Rada authorized representative for human rights to help them resolve this problem. I, in turn, turn to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and suggest that this problem be resolved, and they issue such a document, “said Denisova.
According to her, the list of documents that parents of children must provide to the Ombudsman to resolve this problem will be made public later.
According to the official, currently in Ukraine, more than a hundred children were born to surrogate mothers during their quarantine.

“According to forecasts, which were also made by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, if the quarantine is extended, there may already be hundreds, but almost a thousand of these children. Therefore, we must develop a mechanism for parents to come for their children and take them where they will be. ” to be brought up in the family, “said Denisova.
As noted, a video has been posted on social media and on the official website of the Kiev biotechnology clinic, which shows 46 children who were born as surrogate mothers and are currently at the Venice hotel in Kiev, because their parents foreigners cannot recover them.
In this regard, the Ombudsman appealed to the police, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Policy to ask him to react immediately to the situation, joining forces to urgently improve the legislation on the use surrogacy techniques for foreigners and to prevent the uncontrolled movement of children abroad.
At the same time, in a video broadcast by the biotechnology clinic, the main lawyer for Biotechcom Denis German assures surrogate parents that all the conditions necessary for a comfortable life and development according to age have been created for their children born in quarantine. In particular, the “hotel” is demonstrated – specially equipped children’s rooms, childcare staff, food, etc. The video notes that parents who are unable to cross the border and pick up newborn babies according to surrogacy agreements due to quarantine measures are informed daily of how the child ate , how he slept, if he gained weight and felt good.
