The Kiev Court of Appeal changed the coercive measure imposed on former deputy Tatiana Chornovol, who was placed under house arrest 24 hours a day at night.
Such a decision was announced by the presiding judge, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“The panel of judges has decided: the calls from the defense lawyers are partially satisfied. The decision of the investigating judge of the Kiev Pechersky District Court on the application of preventive measures in the form of a 24 hour house arrest in Chornovol was quashed. Make a new decision, which partially satisfies the request of the GBR investigator. Apply restraint to Chornovol in the form of house arrest for a certain period of time – from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. until June 8, 2020, “said the judge.

According to him, the court also entrusted Chornovol with the following duties: arriving before the investigator, the prosecutor, before the court at the established frequency; not to leave the colony without the authorization of the prosecutor, the investigator, the court; inform the investigator, the prosecutor or the court of a change of place of residence and / or place of work; refrain from communicating with witnesses, deposit their travel documents abroad.
As reported, on April 10, agents from the State Security Bureau searched Chornovol’s house. The GDB subsequently notified that Chornovol was suspected of intentional murder following an arson attack on the Party of Regions office in 2014.
Interior Minister Arsen Avakov called the case of Tatyana Chornovol a thirst for revenge.
On April 16, the Pechersk court chose Tatyana Chornovol as a preventive measure in the form of a 24-hour house arrest with an electronic bracelet.
