Cinema, actors, blacklists: Tkachenko explained which Russian films are unwanted
The Minister of Culture and Information Policy, Oleksandr Tkachenko, opposes the screening of Russian films shot after 2014 in Ukraine, as well as the screening of films with the participation of actors from the Federation of Russia, against which criminal proceedings have been brought.
He wrote about it on his Facebook page.
“I am against the screening of films made after 2014, as well as against the screening of films with the participation of actors against whom criminal proceedings have been brought. The same Okhlobystin and Porechenkov. The last one is the issue of blacklists, which on the whole I support the tool. But there has to be a transparent system of how they are formed. It is not entirely fair when actors who died long ago enter it, “noted the official.
He recalled that as a producer, he had been the first to stop cooperation with Russia after 2014.

At the same time, the Minister of Culture and Information Policy believes that the ban on foreign actors from entering Ukraine cannot be an automatic basis for prohibiting the projection of the films on which they were filmed . “I emphasize that we are not talking about the presence of these artists on the market. This concerns audiovisual works, ”he said.
