In Ukraine, around 18,000 law enforcement officers maintain the quarantine regime daily.
It is reported by the Interior Ministry on Facebook.
“An emergency regime exists in Ukraine. To guarantee a quarantine regime, 18,000 police officers are on duty daily – 14.6 thousand police officers and nearly 3.3 thousand National Guard soldiers,” said the communicated.
During the quarantine, the police drafted 2,967 administrative protocols for violation of quarantine rules and opened 33 criminal proceedings – 19 for violation of sanitary rules and 14 for violation of quarantine measures.

As noted, Ukraine first introduced quarantine until April 3, then extended quarantine until April 24 to counter the spread of Covid-19 coronavirus infection. In the context of the events, in particular, commercial establishments were closed, with the exception of grocery stores, pharmacies, petrol stations and banks. Work on the Kiev metro, Kharkov and Dnipro was also halted, and interurban and interregional automobile, rail and air services were halted.
In addition, in many cities, including Kiev, land public transport has been stopped. It only carries employees from companies offering critical areas of city life. In particular, doctors, rescuers, law enforcement officials, housing and community service specialists, employees of grocery stores and pharmacies, etc.
In Ukraine, on the morning of March 30, 480 cases of coronavirus infection were officially confirmed, of which 11 were fatal, 6 patients recovered. During the day, 62 new cases were recorded.
