COVID-19: average mortality rate exceeded in seven regions of Ukraine
As of April 30, in seven oblasts, the average Ukrainian mortality rate from complications from COVID-19 had been exceeded.

As noted, in the sex and age structure of the dead, 146 men (56%) and those over 50 (85%) predominate.

According to the Center for Public Health, 90% of the dead are people over 50 with concomitant illnesses.
“Nine people who had already traveled abroad in the past 14 days before the onset of symptoms,” said the department.
As of April 30, Ukraine had registered 261 deaths due to complications from COVID-19. The death rate was 0.62 per 100,000 people. Mortality – 2.5%.
Among the deceased, people with COVID-19 have 16 health workers. Of the deceased physicians, 75% are over the age of 60.
“All the dead patients had a positive result of a laboratory test by PCR method on SARS-CoV-2. 248 people were hospitalized, including 62% on mechanical ventilation or extracorporeal oxygenation of the membrane,” said the center.
As noted, the average time between the onset of symptoms and the death of patients with COVID-19 is 13 days. From the time of hospitalization at a health facility until death – 7 days.
As reported, as of April 30, 10,406 people had become ill with COVID-19 in Ukraine. Of this number, 1,238 people have recovered. During the day, 540 new cases of COVID-19 were registered.
