The Verkhovna Rada Budget Committee did not agree to redirect 2.7 billion UAH from the Coronavirus Foundation to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

This was announced in a comment to journalists by the secretary of the Budget Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, deputy of the Golos faction Vladimir Tsabal.

“Only the budget committee of the Verkhovna Rada has not agreed to redirect 2.7 billion UAH from the fund to fight the coronavirus to the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” he said.

Tsabal recalled that at the beginning of the week, the government had issued an order that such a redirection should take place.

As Ukrinform reported, in early June Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov asked the Cabinet to allocate funds from the COVID-19 special fund so that the Ministry of Internal Affairs can make additional payments to doctors in the ministry Home Affairs, police, rescuers, border guards and national guards who work during quarantine. .

On June 10, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allocated more than 2.7 billion hryvnia for supplements to employees of the Ministry of the Interior system during quarantine.

According to the press service of the Ministry of the Interior, during the quarantine of COVID-19, 542 law enforcement officers and doctors of the Ministry of the Interior fell ill.
