Criteria for weakening quarantine will not yet be reviewed – Ministry of Health
The criteria which must be met in order to move to a new quarantine stage accompanied by relaxed restrictive measures will not yet be examined.
This was stated by Health Minister Maxim Stepanov during a briefing on Sunday, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“It seems to me that each of these criteria is understandable to anyone and, if we are talking about changes in these criteria, they can change not in the direction of attenuation, but vice versa – both in terms of increase of the number of tests and reduction of the number of cases. But today we do not envisage that, “said Stepanov.
The Minister stressed that all the criteria for moving to a new quarantine stage are “calculated and reasonable”, in accordance with the strategy chosen to contain the incidence of the disease.
Stepanov recalled that the first of these criteria is the incidence, that is to say that the number of people with COVID-19 in the last 7 days should not exceed 12 people per 100,000 inhabitants.

The second criterion, he said, is that the percentage of beds occupied in first wave hospitals identified for the treatment of patients with coronavirus does not exceed 50%.
He also pointed out that the third criterion is at least 12 tests per 100,000 inhabitants in the past 7 days.
As reported, as of May 31, 23,672 cases of COVID-19 had been laboratory confirmed in Ukraine, including 468 new cases in the past 24 hours. From May 22 to June 22, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced an adaptive quarantine model in Ukraine.
