Discussions on the development of culture should be led by people who are relevant to the field, not by politics.

Such an opinion was expressed by the Ukrainian Minister of Culture and Information Policy, Oleksandr Tkachenko, on “Freedom of Speech” on ICTV, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.

“Scientists should discuss people who are directly related to culture and, to a much lesser extent, to politics. Because what politicians will do on the one hand, on the other hand, they will try to take for themselves l ‘electorate and undermine the situation’, Tkachenko.

According to him, Ukrainian scientists are capable of developing interesting stories and attitudes towards certain problems that divide society. They can offer an interesting and completely different point of view on an important issue without politicizing it.

“For dialogue, respect is necessary. For dialogue, there must also be desire. If there is no desire, there is no respect, then it is usual, there is no will have no dialogue, “said the minister.

The official noted that it is extremely necessary to develop a culture, because, according to Tkachenko, the economy is based on culture, on human behavior. Therefore, a dialogue on this is necessary.

“There are many sites not only in society, but also sites that we can create, including the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.” He added.
