Department of Health Links Incidence of COVID-19 to Mitigation of Quarantine
The increase in the number of laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases during these days is associated with a relaxation of quarantine measures and non-compliance with anti-epidemic requirements.
This was announced on June 13 by the Deputy Minister of Health – chief medical officer of health Viktor Lyashko following a meeting of the Commission for Technological and Environmental Security and Emergencies, answering the question of whether the Ministry of Health is associated with an increase in the number of cases with an increase in the number of tests, reports the correspondent of Ukrinform.
“No, we do not associate, because the dynamics that we have, it shows that sometimes an increase in the number of tests does not lead to an increase in the number of identified patients with coronavirus. We associate an increase in the detection of cases of coronavirus that has been registered in the past three days, precisely with the easing of quarantine measures, “said the country’s health official.

The head of health cited data from the head of the state service for food safety and consumer protection, according to which one in six objects inspected by inspectors of this service to verify compliance with sanitary standards contains certain violations.
As reported, as of June 13, 30,506 cases of COVID-19 had been laboratory confirmed in Ukraine and 753 new cases per day.
Since March 12, the government has introduced quarantine in Ukraine to combat the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection.
