“In general, we plan to increase the number of PCR tests to 1 million. I’m not talking about rapid tests and a variety of medical equipment. This week we will attract additional aircraft, so the volume of supplies from abroad will increase significantly, “he said.
The EP chief recalled that over the past week, the number of laboratory PCR tests has increased considerably to allow an accurate diagnosis in all regions of Ukraine. According to him, 250,000 test systems have been brought in from China and South Korea, domestic production has also started and medical facilities have already received the first batches. “It is extremely important to provide doctors and workers from other key industries, because the protection of the life and health of Ukrainians depends on it. As a result, 380,000 respirators, 45,000 protective suits and other protective equipment were delivered from abroad, “said Yermak.

He noted that recently medical masks have been delivered to military hospitals in Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa, Dnipro and Lviv, and added that in a week, millions of additional medical masks will be sent not only to hospitals and military units. , but also to pharmacies across the country. “Today, the competition for these products in the world is crazy. Therefore, I am very grateful to all the employees of the presidential office, the civil servants, the diplomats, the local officials, the city leaders and the men of business who work hard every day to acquire everything that is necessary for our country, “said the head of the OP.
In addition, according to him, Ukrainian companies are starting or increasing the production of various protective equipment.
Ermak said that in addition to centralized supply, local authorities are working to meet the needs of their towns and villages. He assured that the state power constantly monitors the situation in all regions and helps them to solve problems, for example, work continues to prevent a significant increase in the prices of essential products.
As you know, on March 29, 33,000 special suits and 250,000 respirators for doctors who receive patients with coronavirus arrived in Ukraine from China. The next batch of protective masks, medical protective clothing, test equipment and systems is scheduled to be sent to Ukraine on March 31.
