Flood in the Carpathians and Bucovina – orange danger level
In the Ivano-Frankivsk region due to the severe deterioration of weather conditions and heavy rain, flooding has started, so that all funds from the Ministry of the Interior have been allocated to the fight against elements of the region.

“At the epicenter of the weather, 31 residential buildings and 37 households were revealed. Involved 123 police officers and 120 rescuers, as well as 62 units of office equipment. Police and rescuers enter each house and check if people or pets are in danger, help local authorities to deliver essential items. Organization of the headquarters work 24 hours a day. The police guard the homes of citizens to prevent looting. On my instructions, the H225 helicopter of the National Emergency Service of Ukraine flew away in bad weather, which will provide food and additional forces, “said Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.

He added that the police and rescuers are doing explanatory work with the population of the region, bypasses of the emergency road sections have been organized.
“The situation changes every minute, the police and the rescuers will work at night, so as not to let people face the weather. We organize places for one night and meals. Right now – the situation is under control. Additional police, rescuers and guards will arrive in the area tomorrow morning. Please stay calm. The Interior Ministry, the national police and the state emergency service will inform about the elimination of the consequences of bad weather, “said Avakov.

It should be noted that in the Chernivtsi region due to heavy rains, the water level in the Prut, Cheremosh and Brusnitsa rivers has increased. Roads are also being eroded and bridges are flooded in 7 settlements in the Vizhnitsky, Putilsky and Kitsmansky districts. In the village of Banilov, in the Vizhnitsky district, a dam was partially destroyed.

Law enforcement authorities warn local residents of possible relocation outside the danger zone. To eliminate the consequences of the bad weather, 10 equipment and 55 employees of the state emergency services as well as 12 police officers were involved.
