Fraud call centers disguised as banking security services – Cyber Police
Cyber police officers denounced three fraudulent call centers that “disguised themselves” as bank security services.
This is reported by the cyber police department of the National Police of Ukraine.
“Employees of the Cyber Police Department, as well as the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine, under the procedural direction of the Prosecutor General’s Office, denounced three fraudulent call centers,” the statement said.
As previously reported, organized the criminal activity of three residents of the Dnipropetrovsk and Kiev regions. Anti-fraud call centers, where more than 150 people worked, have been located in Kiev.
“The attackers presented themselves as security agents of a banking institution and learned complete information about the details of a bank card: number, CVV code, expiration date. In addition, the accused encouraged cardholders to install remote control software on their phones. In the future, an unauthorized debit from funds from victim cards to controlled accounts was carried out, “said the police.

On the basis of the results of the searches carried out on the premises of the “call centers”, computer equipment, mobile telephones, customer databases and SIM cards were seized.
A full circle of casualties and the extent of casualties suffered are established.
