French diplomats congratulate Flash Embroidery Day
Employees of the French diplomatic mission in Ukraine congratulated the Ukrainians on embroidery day with a flash mob, wearing colorful shirts with traditional Ukrainian embroidery.
This is indicated in a message on the page of the French Ambassador to Ukraine Etienne de Ponsen on Twitter.
“The French Embassy in Ukraine joins the Ukrainians who are celebrating #Vyshivanka Day today, a symbol of its identity and traditions. Faced with the COVID-19 epidemic, we will remain united as never before and will strengthen the ties between France and Ukraine, ”the publication specifies.
As Ukrinform reported, Ukrainians from different parts of the world are celebrating World Embroidery Day, which fell on May 21 this year.
In particular, the first Ukrainian magazine in Australia “Vilna Dumka” and the Ukrainian Embassy in Australia announced the photo contest “My embroidery”. Ukrainians in Greece founded a photo flash photo. The Future Credit Union (BCU Financial) in Canada launched a photo contest on this occasion. And Ukrainians in Belgium are invited to a virtual parade of embroidered shirts. In Tunisia, the Ukrainians organized an embroidered quarantine flash mob, and in India, they presented a song on an embroidered shirt.

The Congress of Ukrainians in Canada (UCC) is offering to join the online flash mob on embroidery day. The World Congress of Ukrainians has announced a flash mob for Embroidery Day. Ukrainians from Russia will organize a “Vyshivanka-2020” flash mob, and in the United Arab Emirates, a virtual embroidery parade and a traditional flash-photo of the Ukrainian community will take place.
