The capital Pechersk District Court extended a preventive measure for two months in the form of the detention of Alexei (Moskalenko) Levin, suspected of being involved in the murder of activist Kherson Yekaterina Gandzyuk.
This was reported on Facebook by the community “Who ordered Ekaterina Gandzyuk?”
It is noted that on April 2, Levin should end the preventive measure chosen by him by the court immediately after the March 17 extradition from Bulgaria. But as part of the extension of the investigation until July 29 of the current year, the prosecution filed a motion to extend the detention of Levin, which the court granted.
It was reported that on March 17, the Pechersk District Court arrested Levin without the right to post bail until April 2, the date on which the investigation ended in this case.
In January Levin was arrested in Bulgaria. He was identified by fingerprints because he changed his appearance.
On March 16, Levin was extradited from Bulgaria to Ukraine.
The suspect who organized the attack on Yekaterina Gandzyuk left Ukraine in August 2018 and was added to the international wanted list.
According to investigators, Levin is a key figure connecting artists (the “Torbin group”) and clients of Gandzyuk’s attack. It is he who is suspected of having organized this crime, instigated its execution, providing information, in particular, the place of residence of Gandzyuk was identified.
