The evidence gathered in the case of the murder of Yekaterina Gandzyuk is sufficient to complete the investigation and send the indictment to court.

“After conducting interrogations, examinations and other additional investigative measures, the prosecutors concluded that the evidence gathered was sufficient to establish an indictment and to refer the case to the court,” he said. he declares.

Simonenko added that the prosecutor announced on April 27 that the investigation into the defendants in the Vladislav Manger, Alexei Levin and other participants in the proceedings would be completed.

The parties now have access to the investigation documents. Once the defense has examined the documents of the criminal procedure, they will be sent to the court for examination on the merits.

It was reported that on March 17, the Pechersk District Court arrested Levin without the right to post bail until April 2, the date on which the investigation expired in this case.

On March 16, Levin was extradited from Bulgaria to Ukraine.

According to investigators, Levin is a key figure connecting artists (the “Torbin group”) and clients of Gandzyuk’s attack. It is he who is suspected of having organized this crime, incited its implementation, providing in particular information on the place of residence of Gandzyuk.

On June 6, 2019, 5 direct perpetrators of the attack were sentenced to between 3 and 6.5 years in prison.
