GBR has completed the investigation into the Pashinsky affair
The State Bureau of Investigation has completed an investigation against an MP for Summons V-VIII, who had killed a citizen.

“Investigators from the Main Investigation Department of the National Bureau of Investigation have completed a preliminary investigation into the fact that a People’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine caused summons V-VIII of grievous bodily harm to a citizen (part 1 of Article 121 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code) “, the statement said.
A preliminary investigation established that on December 31, 2016, during a conflict between a citizen and at the time the people’s deputy, the last of his own firearms – a Glock 19 pistol – had shot in the leg of the victim.
It is specified that following the illegal actions of the former deputy, the citizen received a bullet fracture of the femur of the left leg, which resulted in the appearance of a disability and, according to the conclusion of l forensic examination is a serious injury.
“The defensive party has been informed of the completion of the preliminary investigation and access to its documents has been granted. Once the conditions laid down in Article 290 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine have been met, the indictment will be sent to court, “said the National Rescue Service.
If proven guilty, the suspect faces a jail sentence of 5 to 8 years, the agency said.
As Ukrinform reported, a preliminary investigation revealed that on December 31, 2016, on the territory of the Kiev region, there was a verbal conflict between Pashinsky and the citizen Vyacheslav Himikus. Meanwhile, Pashinsky pulled out his own registered firearm (Glock-19 pistol) and shot the man in the left leg.
The chemical sustained personal injuries in the form of a comminuted bullet fracture of the femur in the left leg.

On October 4, 2019, GBR investigators announced the suspicion of Pashinsky’s dismissal on December 31, 2016.
On October 7, Pechersky District Court arrested Pashinsky for up to December 4.
On October 18, the Kiev Court of Appeal confirmed the decision of the Pechersky District Court of Kiev regarding the arrest of Pashinsky.
Subsequently, the Pechersky District Court extended the preventive measure to Pashinsky in the form of detention until January 29.
On December 18, the Kiev Court of Appeal changed the measure of restraint imposed on former MP Sergei Pashinsky, from detention to 24-hour house arrest.
