The National Bureau of Investigation will investigate the case of beatings by police from editor Denis Yalukhin.

This is indicated in the GDB response to Media Detector’s request.

“We inform you that, according to the results of the examination of the declaration of D. Yalukhin of 05/05/2020 concerning possible illegal actions of the police patrol service in Kiev, 05/06/2020 by the local prosecution from Kiev no. 3, information on the signs of a crime has been entered in the unified register of preliminary inquiries … “, – said in response to the request.

Thus, the information contained in the ERDR made for a crime under Part 1 of Art. 365 (excess of power or official authority of a law enforcement officer) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The preliminary production investigation is being carried out by investigators from the territorial administration of the State Security Bureau in Kiev.

As previously reported, editor Denis Yalukhin told Facebook that on May 2, two police officers beat him while he tried to have his daughter meet his ex-wife.

Yalukhin noted that police detained him for three hours in the department. Over time, the man turned to a private clinic, where doctors diagnosed him with a 1-2 degree concussion and a hypertensive crisis.

In turn, on May 5, Kiev patrol police reported that Yalukhin was aggressive and beaten at the door, and also noticed that the man was detained and two administrative protocols were drawn up for “petty hooliganism” and ” malicious disobedience to legal order or at the request of a police officer “. At the same time, the police said that the statement regarding the illegal actions of the patrol had been “verified”.
