One of the first heads of the Russian occupation forces, the so-called “Minister of Defense” of the “DPR” Igor Girkin is on the wanted list.

According to the press service of the Attorney General’s office, he is accused of war crimes committed in Ukraine in 2014.
The investigation revealed that between April 17 and April 19, 2014, Girkin, along with militants he controlled, organized the search and abduction of Ukrainian patriots in the Donetsk region.
Then, these people were beaten with brutal torture in special cellars in the city of Slavyansk. Thus, they brutally avenged the pro-Ukrainian position of the abductees.
Since there is no statute of limitations for war crimes, the Girkin Prosecutor’s Office has been authorized to detain him for later transfer to the judge and to make an arrest decision.
