GPSU does not record an increase in passenger traffic at the border before the holidays

Border guards are not recording an increase in the number of Ukrainians arriving from abroad during the Easter holidays.

It was in a comment to Ukrinform by a representative of the National Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko.

“We have not seen a significant increase in passenger traffic from abroad. In the last day, 12,000 Ukrainians have crossed the border, “said Demchenko.

He noted that at the beginning of the week, the number of people crossing the border at the entrance and exit per day was in the range of 9-10,000 people.

As indicated, the national border of Ukraine can only be crossed by road and only at 18 checkpoints. According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, Ukrainians can return by special flights, by plane or by train. Flight planning is carried out by the competent services – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Infrastructure.
