Deputy Attorney General Gunduz Mammadov noted that the use of interviews with suspects and accused in investigations was “a fairly common worldwide practice”.

He said this in a comment by the Ukrainian Air Force about an interview that a Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon had taken from former separatist leader Igor Girkin.

“Such talks are invaluable for additional facts and details. For example, the so-called” prosecutor “of Crimea confirmed that she was aware of the suspicions and the criminal proceedings against her in Ukraine,” said Mammadov.

The deputy attorney general added that Girkin during his interview also spoke about the specific facts of his commission of particularly serious crimes.

“I do not rule out the possibility that in the future this information will be subject to review and danger,” he said.

According to Mammadov, information concerning the control and supply of weapons to illegal armed groups in the Russian Federation is particularly useful for the investigation.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Security Service of Ukraine will give a legal assessment of the interview with Dmitry Gordon, in particular with Igor Girkin, after studying the material.

Today, an interview of Dmitry Gordon with one of the chief fighters of the DPR 2014, the so-called Defense Minister of the DPR Igor Girkin (Strelkov), was published on the website of the publication in GORDON line.

The International Joint Investigation Group said that the flight aircraft MH17 had been shot down by the Buk anti-aircraft missile system, which belongs to the 53rd anti-aircraft missile defense brigade of the Russian armed forces stationed in Kursk. On June 19, 2019, she named the names of four suspects believed to be involved in the transportation and combat use of Buka. He is a former FSB officer, the so-called former DNR defense minister Igor Girkin (Strelkov), a general, and while the plane was shot down, Colonel GRU of the state- major of the Russian armed forces, head of the DNR GRU Sergey Dubinsky, lieutenant-colonel of the special forces GRU Oleg Pulatov (all – Russian citizens), a Ukrainian citizen Leonid Kharchenko, who fought alongside the “DPR”.

Igor Girkin, also known as Strelkov, has repeatedly admitted that he had taken an active part in the process of annexation of Crimea by Russia.

In 2014, he was “Minister of Defense” of the separatists of the so-called “Donetsk People’s Republic”,

He was the one who reported on Twitter that the separatists shot down a plane, which later turned out to be a Boeing MH17 of Malaysian passengers. The attack killed 298 people.

In addition, in early May, Gordon posted a YouTube recording of an interview he had taken in Poklonskaya.

Natalya Poklonskaya, a former Ukrainian lawyer, after the occupation of Crimea in 2014, has taken the side of Russia. By decree of Russian President Putin, she was appointed “prosecutor” of the occupied Crimea. Subsequently, she was elected to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

In Ukraine, a number of criminal proceedings have been brought against Poklonskaya, in particular for high treason and participation in the illegal prohibition of the Mejlis of the Tatar people of Crimea.
