The head of the law firm Sens Consulting, who was involved in the defense of Andrei Antonenko, suspected of being involved in the murder of Pavel Sheremet, said that the spouses of the ATO volunteers – Inna and Vladislav Grishchenko – were not interviewed in the case, even as witnesses.

Sens Consulting chief Leonid Maslov said this in an interview with Babel.

“Grishchenko was not questioned in the Sheremet case, even as witnesses. Vlad has been offered to assume the murder of Sheremet – and this is official information. As for explosive devices, they are only similar to the type of mount. That’s all, “said Maslov.

As Ukrinform reported, at a briefing on March 12, Deputy Chief of the National Police of Ukraine Yevgeny Koval said that the investigation into the murder of Pavel Sheremet suspected five people – a doctor and volunteer Yulia Kuzmenko , ATO volunteers Vladislav and Inna Grishchenko, nurse from one of the paratrooper battalions Ya Andrei Antonenko, veteran of the ATO.

The investigation now suspects Kuzmenko, Dugar and Antonenko. On May 25, the Pechersk court in Kiev granted the request of prosecutors and changed the preventive measure of Yane Dugar – from house arrest to bail in the amount of 168,000 hryvnia. Lawyer Vitaliy Kolomiets later reported that more than 500 people had transferred the amount needed to deposit in less than a day.

Kouzmenko and Antonenko are still in prison.

On May 22, lawyer Nikolai Orekhovsky announced that the preliminary inquiry into the murder of Pavel Sheremet had ended.

Journalist Pavel Sheremet died on July 20, 2016 in central Kiev as a result of a car bomb attack.
