Health Minister Maxim Stepanov urged Ukrainians to celebrate Easter at home.

He appealed at an information meeting on April 18, reports a Ukrinform correspondent.

“Tomorrow, all Orthodox Christians in the world will celebrate Easter. Each of us is waiting for this holiday, we are waiting for it all year round. But this year, I urge you to celebrate Easter at home,” said Stepanov.

He recalled that the government had agreed to an online broadcast, a television broadcast of all services on the main Ukrainian television channels.

As indicated, in Ukraine, 5,106 cases of COVID-19 have been laboratory confirmed, including 133 fatalities, 275 people recovered.

According to Worldometer, by the morning of April 18, 2,251,770 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus had been confirmed worldwide, of which 154,311 were fatal, 574,386 people recovered.
