Earlier, the cabinet approved the tariff for the treatment of patients with COVID-19.
Providing care to patients with COVID-19 costs, on average, 5 thousand to 15 thousand UAH per day. This was announced during a press briefing by the Mayor of Kiev Vitaly Klitschko in reference to information received from doctors.
The head of the Kyiv City State Administration clarified that the true cost of treatment depends on the characteristics of the course of the disease, the pathology in the patient and the presence of complications.
As noted by Klitschko, medical institutions in the capital have more than 90% of medicines prescribed by the “National List of Essential Medicines”. Patients with COVID-19 are treated in hospitals that they receive for free. The mayor said that people who do not need to be hospitalized under the supervision of doctors and get treatment at home, buy medicines.
Klitschko said that the Department of Health purchased the drugs used to provide medical care to patients with coronovirus in the amount of 101 million UAH, for funds from the city’s budget reserve fund. These include 17 drugs, including antibiotics, antiviral and anti-inflammatory drugs, and other medications.
According to MP Alexei Goncharenko, the Cabinet of Ministers approved tariffs for the treatment of patients with COVID-19, which would allow doctors working with such patients to start paying 300% premium. It became known as a politician in his Telegram channel. More detailed tariff information is not provided.
