Huawei explains why the new P40 does not support 120 Hz refresh rate


Among the main innovations in the smartphone sector in April of this year, we find new Huawei P40 and P40 ProHuawei’s new top of the range, which goes on sale without Google services, and with Huawei’s new mobile services with the App Gallery, which will replace the Play Store.

In addition to the lack of Google services, the new Huawei P40 and P40 Pro have a special drawback, namely support at 120 Hz as for the refresh rate of the display, specifications are present, for example, on the Galaxy S20 (even if it is limited to setting the resolution of Full HD + on the panel).

The Chinese company explained that the new P40 can support 120 Hz, but no problem display limited to 90 Hz for precise design selectionThe refresh rate limit allows best battery optimization which, however, will not be the only factor in the game. According to Huawei, the choice is also associated with “other aspects”, which, however, have not been clarified.
