In hospitals contracted with the NHA, patients will be fed free of charge
Hospitals that have an agreement with the NHRI and provide medical services under the medical guarantees program should have free food for the patient.
This is stated in the National Health Service press release, which is available to Ukrinform.
“When providing medical care under the medical guarantee program for hospitalized patients, the patient receives free food and hospital stays. Institutions are not allowed to set fees to guarantee the program of medical guarantee in each package “, indicates the press release.
In addition to providing food to all hospitalized patients, as part of priority medical care services in complex neonatal cases, the patient benefits from full or partial parenteral feeding 24/24. It is an expensive food, for which parents no longer have to pay.

ASN will also pay for medical facilities for the treatment of patients infected with a coronavirus with three new sets of health services.
For patients with COVID-19 in critical condition, free parenteral nutrition is also provided – the introduction of nutrients.
At the same time, in the NHA, they noted that medical institutions have the right to set fees for better nutrition as an additional medical service, which is provided exclusively at the request of the patient.
In this case, the hospital should have at least 2 types of food – basic free and improved paid.

In order to bill patients for additional services, the owner and the head of the medical facility must approve the list and cost. Patient services are officially paid for by a medical establishment.
Within the NHA, it was recalled that in the context of hospitalization, the institution should provide medical products, supplies and drugs included in the national list of essential drugs. Medicines that the institution receives through centralized supply are not included in the price. In 2020, these drugs will be delivered to establishments in the same way as in 2019.
