The National Guard has revealed the first case of a military illness, COVID-19, it is receiving all necessary medical care.

This was reported by the press service of the National Guard of Ukraine.

“COVID-19 was revealed by a soldier from the Kharkov operational brigade,” the statement said.

It should be noted that on April 9 a high temperature was revealed in a soldier of the operational brigade of Kharkiv. This was revealed during a medical examination before preparing for service.

As noted, the soldiers were immediately taken to the Kharkov hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, where they carried out an express test for COVID-19, and at the start, the test gave a negative result.

Therefore, to continue treatment with a diagnosis of pneumonia, the soldier was sent to the Kharkov Regional Infectious Disease Hospital, where the man remains.

Currently, the condition of the NSU soldier is satisfactory, the temperature is within normal limits, he receives all the necessary medical care.

“In the military unit, measures are taken in accordance with the protocol approved by the Ministry of Health. The people in contact with the patient have been identified. They have received medical care,” said the department.

It should be noted that the premises are disinfected at least three times a day and that the movements of the National Guard within the unit, as well as between the military units, are limited.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the morning of April 15, 23 coronavirus patients were registered with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
