In Ukraine, 14,710 cases of coronavirus were recorded, 515 per day
In Ukraine, during the last day, 515 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus were registered. A total of 14,710 people fell ill during the pandemic in Ukraine.
This was announced at an information meeting on May 9 by Health Minister Maxim Stepanov, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“In the last day, 515 people fell ill, including 49 children and 96 health workers,” said Stepanov.
According to him, during the last day, 198 people were hospitalized, 15 fatal cases were recorded, while 203 patients recovered.
He also noted that during the last day, 7,938 studies had been performed by PCR.

According to Stepanov, in the past 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases has been registered in the Chernivtsi region – 82 cases, the Kharkov region – 50 cases and the city of Kiev – 50 cases.
“A total of 14,710 people fell ill during the pandemic in Ukraine. Of this number, 1,026 were children, as well as 2,754 health workers. A total of 2,909 people were released and 376 died,” said Stepanov.
