In Ukraine, call postponed to May-July

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted an order to postpone conscription to military service from April-June to May-July 2020.

The corresponding decision was taken at a government meeting on April 15 without discussion, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.

As indicated in the explanatory note to the document, the draft order was drawn up with the aim of fixing the time limits for conscription of Ukrainian citizens to military service in accordance with the requirements of Presidential Decree No. 103/2020 on the transfer of the project.

Therefore, the Cabinet of Ministers amended the previously adopted government decree No. 179 “On the approval of the number of Ukrainian citizens to be drafted for military service, the amount of expenditure for the project from April to June 2020”, in replacing the words “in April-June” with “May-July.”

As reported by Ukrinform, President Vladimir Zelensky on March 23, by Decree No. 103/2020, postponed the timetable for the next project of Ukrainian citizens for military service in 2020 from April-June to May-July.
