Phase IV of the Ukrainian student olympiads in academic subjects is canceled due to a national quarantine.
The corresponding order was published on the MES website, said the ministry’s press service.
“Our goal is to preserve the lives and health of our students. Therefore, this year due to the epidemiological situation, we had to cancel phase IV of the Pan-Ukrainian Olympics. Due to quarantine and the threat of spread of COVID-19, almost all educational processes, including the conduct of Olympiads “, – noted the game Minister of Education and Science Lyubomir Mandziy.
The Ministry of Education and Science recalled that due to the epidemic of coronavirus infection, changes in the conduct of competitions were planned from the start of the quarantine. Thus, on March 12, it was decided that the Olympiads would only take place on 9 subjects instead of 26, and their dates will be modified.
Due to quarantine, the final stage of the Pan-Ukrainian competition to protect the research work of IAS students has also been postponed – it is expected to be held in November 2020.
