Increased COVID-19 disease associated with reduced quarantine – Lyashko
The increase in COVID-19 disease is associated with the reduction in quarantine.
About that on the “Right to Power” program, said chief medical officer of health Viktor Lyashko.
“When 600 cases were recorded on the first day (the start of an increase in the incidence rate – note), we said that we sort the lines that have formed in cities with more than a million inhabitants in order to test. I stressed that no conclusion can be drawn when we are talking about one or two days. We have to look at the trends of growth or stabilization of the process. Today when we see 829 cases we see a clear growth trend, “said Lyashko.

According to him, we can already speak of certain trends in the increase in the incidence rate after the lifting of the quarantine restrictions.
“Now we see a clear trend (towards an increase in the incidence rate – note), It is precisely linked to the stages of mitigation of quarantine measures. The increase in tests does not have such a clear progression, there is no correlation with an increase in the number of cases, it is an instantaneous process which shows that we still have growth associated with the absence of strict quarantine restrictions, “said Lyashko.
He added that the commercial entities which have resumed their activities do not strictly comply with all the requirements, nor do they comply with the requirements of public transport.
As Ukrinform reported, on June 18, a kind of “anti-record” was put in place in Ukraine in terms of the number of cases per day – 829 people. Since the start of the pandemic in Ukraine, 34,063 people have fallen ill with COVID-19.
