According to the Minister of Social Policy, Marina Lazebnoy, after indexing, on average, the pension of Ukrainians will increase by 260 hryvnia.
On this subject, it is written “MFN” referring to “RBC-Ukraine“.
As of May 1, the long-awaited indexing of pensions begins in Ukraine. This year, it will affect 8.4 million Ukrainian pensioners (in total, the country has 11.3 million pensioners – editor’s note).
On average, after indexation, the amount of the pension will increase by 260 hryvnia. The minimum increase amount will be 100 hryvnia:
“Retirees who, at the time of calculating the pension, had 30 years of insurance experience for women and 35 years of insurance experience for men, the minimum pension was set at 2,100 UAH.”
Marina Lazebnaya assured that the state budget has funds for indexing and that the Pension Fund is ready to pay indexed pensions. Payments, as usual, begin on May 4.
