Despite the coronavirus pandemic, Italian authorities are counting at least slightly, but saving the tourist season in the country.
This is why, from June 3, Italy decided to open its borders to foreign tourists, writes “MFN” with reference to “The republicca“.
Admittedly, not all tourists can enter sunny Italy, as entry is only allowed for citizens of European Union countries and the Schengen area, as well as for residents of Switzerland and Monaco.
It is also reported that visiting tourists will not have to sit for 14 days to isolate themselves.
At the same time, the authorities also noted that if in Italy the number of cases begins to increase again, the borders will be closed again.
We add that on May 16, Italy ranked 5th in the world for COVID-19 cases. There are 223,885 cases: 31,610 of them died and 120,205 are already in perfect health.
Recall that we wrote earlier than in Italy, on May 4, the relaxation of quarantine measures began.
