Almost a month after the adoption of the land market bill, it was finally signed by the President of Ukraine.
About this writes “MFN”, referring to the site Office of the President of Ukraine.
On Tuesday April 28, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed the land market bill, which allows Ukrainians to freely dispose of and sell their land.
“This moment is truly historic. For me and for all Ukrainians. Our country has been waiting for this law since 1991. It was a difficult fight … But we understood that we were doing this for the Ukrainians. “
The OPU recalled that the law will not begin to come into full force until July 1, 2021. From this day, the right to purchase land for agricultural purposes will be open exclusively to Ukrainian citizens. It will be possible to buy no more than 100 hectares with one hand.
As of January 1, 2024, Ukrainian legal persons will be allowed to purchase land with a maximum area of 10,000 hectares in one hand.
The right to sell land to foreigners (except citizens of the Russian Federation) will be decided in a pan-Ukrainian referendum.
The sale of state and municipal land is prohibited.
Recall that we wrote earlier that it is important to know the land market bill.
