Zavarov played for Juve from 1988 to 1990. With the team, he won the UEFA Cup and the Italian Cup in 1990.
As part of Kiev Dynamo, he won twice the championship, the Cup and the Super Cup of the USSR, became the winner of the Cup Winners’ Cup of 1986.
Within the team of the USSR, under the direction of Valery Lobanovsky, Zavarov in the fields of Germany became vice-champion of Europe-1988.
