Krikliy: We are working to gradually launch vehicles from May 22

The Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure is working to ensure that after the quarantine ends on May 22, passenger transport can gradually resume its work.
This was stated by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladislav Krikliy, said the press service of the department.
“We are now working to ensure that passenger transport can gradually resume work over 10 days. But in a safe format – with mandatory compliance with the mask scheme, disinfection, taking into account restrictions on the number of passengers and seats. As Minister of Infrastructure, I protect you, the carriers and everyone in the industry, so I insist, “said Krikli.
He added that, for its part, the Ministry of Infrastructure has already prepared proposals for the progressive restoration of passenger traffic.

“Right now, with the Ministry of Health, we are discussing and working on this issue. We hope for a constructive position which will protect citizens and guarantee the functioning of transport,” said the minister.
As reported by Ukrinform, since March 12, the government has introduced quarantine in Ukraine to combat the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection. In particular, the works of the Kiev metro, Kharkov and Dnipro have been stopped, the circulation of land transport in cities, interurban and interregional services of automobile, railway and aviation has been stopped. Since March 28, Ukraine has completely closed the border for scheduled flights, including air travel.
Currently, the quarantine has been extended until May 22, but from May 11, certain restrictions have been lifted.
