The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched changes that will make the process of obtaining Ukrainian visas for foreigners modern and practical.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba, said the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Getting to know a foreigner planning a trip to Ukraine begins with obtaining a Ukrainian visa. Sometimes it is usually the first meeting with Ukraine. The impression of this meeting should be as positive as possible. It should be an encounter with a modern progressive country. The new procedure will also increase the safety of tourists, “said Kuleba.

The innovations will allow foreign diplomatic institutions to issue Ukrainian visas using modern digital technologies to collect biometric information (digital fingerprints and digital facial image).

Bringing the procedure to the best international standards will harmonize legislation in the area of migration and increase the convenience and security of foreigners traveling to Ukraine. The changes also optimize the interaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with other state bodies.
